Lionel and Lisa Gibson are the owners of Orleans Taekwondo, a family oriented martial arts school that teaches the Korean Art of Taekwondo. The school has existed in Orleans for over 14 years and inspires students to help build confidence, increase their fitness levels and motivate them into achieving their goals.
Master Lionel Gibson
A passionate instructor and martial artist, Master Gibson is the school’s head instructor. He oversees every class and handles overall operations of the program. A 4th Dan Black Belt, and former provincial champion, and both national and international level competitor, Master Gibson has been teaching taekwondo in Orleans for over 14 years.
Master Gibson believes that taekwondo is not only for the elite athlete, but for anyone, young or old, male or female, small or big who wishes to develop their bodies and mind to the fullest.
Mrs. Lisa Gibson
Mrs Gibson, the other half of this dynamic team, is a certified 2nd Dan Black Belt. Having taught alongside Master Gibson for over 14 years, she oversees the introduction of the program to new students, development of the operational procedures and ensures seamless operation of the school. Mrs. Gibson personifies the corporate culture of Orleans Taekwondo, constantly working to strengthen it’s community by making sure students of all ages feel at home and that their needs are being met.
She is an instructor that pushes her students to strive for perfection, being an avid competitor in patterns, who has won numerous medals and trophies at the Provincial, National and International levels. Mrs Gibson believes that through positive attitude everyone can challenge themselves to be the best they can be.
