3rd Dan Black Belt

Lionel Gibson is the owner of Orleans Taekwondo and its chief instructor. He is a certified 3rd Dan Black Belt. Mr. Gibson was first introduced to the martial arts at age 11 in Shotokan Karate in Montreal. After 6 years in Karate, Mr. Gibson discovered World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) style Taekwondo and was very impressed with the dynamic kicking style of the art. After moving to Ottawa in 1991, he met and immediately started training under Grandmaster Tae E. Lee. Mr. Gibson's goal is to develop his students as complete martial artists. He believes that in order to be a true martial artist, you must harmonize the mind and body.

Mr. Gibson is part of a team of black belt instructors at Orleans Taekwondo. Instruction is also supplemented by students who have reached either the red belt or red belt black stripe belt levels.
