Orleans Taekwondo is proud to offer a power yoga class twice a week to complement our martial arts program or as a standalone option for the general community.
Power yoga is a vigorous and dynamic form of yoga where each posture continuously flows from one posture to the next and incorporating the yogic breathing techniques. Our school's yoga practise is based on the traditional Ashtanga Yoga where the postures balance the strength and flexibility aspects of the body and includes standing sequences, balancing postures, seated postures, and inversions.
The 50 minute class is a dynamic sequence of postures intended to develop the core muscles of the body and is a great complement to any athletic practise. This practise is suitable to all levels as modifications and resting postures are provided and encouraged. Classes are instructed by Angela Taylor, a certified yoga instructor and active yoga practitioner.
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:30pm - 8:20pm.
FREE for actively enrolled students of Orleans Taekwondo.
We welcome members of the community to participate.. You can drop in for just $5 per class or purchase a 12 class package for $50 (which includes 2 FREE classes).
